I'm so thankful that I'm at a point in my life where I can share my story and help others. When I say I struggled with my fitness and nutrition my whole life I do feel that to my core. But above that, I struggled with loving myself and who I was in my physical body. I felt trapped, unfulfilled and an outcast.
Growing up, I was heavyset, not very active, and reached a point at just 12 years old to be over 220lbs. I had an identity of not feeling lovable and felt like I wasn't capable of doing physical things like being active. While I excelled in school, I lived vicariously through my love of professional wrestling and ultimately, that is what inspired me to lose weight and change my life.
After High School, I lost over 60lbs and chased my dream to be a professional wrestler. With an up and down journey, I had a full tryout in the WWE as a wrestler in 2017 and was able to make history, becoming the first ever full time female WWE referee.
I'm so proud to have that title and it still blows my mind that I was able to accomplish my dreams and still get to live it every day. However, despite living my dreams, I still had lingering issues with my body and an awful relationship with food.
Through therapy, patience, and working with a coach myself (Cody Mcbroom of Tailored Coaching Method) I was able to work through so many of those issues. I finally was able to find balance in my diet and workout regimens, get stronger in the gym, achieve the body composition I longed for, but above all accept my flaws and love what I saw in the mirror.
I want to press that I love what I see in the mirror today not because what I see is perfect. I don't love what I see in the mirror today because I have perfect abs that I thought I had wanted since when I was 10 years old crying in my bedroom because I hated my body. Instead, I found an acceptance and love for what I saw because I could see the work, effort and dedication that got me there.
It has been almost 15 years of an up and down battle with the scale, restriction, binging, and self love.
With some down time in the pandemic and an ongoing interest and desire to help others I obtained my Precision Nutrition Certification PN1 as well as a HMCC Healthy Mindset Coaching Certification in my hopeful pursuit to coach others.
Now here I am. I am at the beginning of this coaching journey as I continue to travel the world and live my dreams. I appreciate your trust in visiting my site as I post ideally helpful articles and content that hopefully resonate with you.
Much love!
